What is it about?
Once you're fully prepared and confident in all exam areas, it's time for the final preparation. Here, you'll focus specifically on the exam situation by taking realistic mock exams. This will help you get used to the format, time constraints, and pressure of the real C2 exam, so you'll be confident and optimally prepared for the exam.
Final preparation
How should you do it?
There are both digital and paper exams that you can take. On this website , under the "Sample Tests" section, you'll find mock exams, watch this tutorial before starting any tests. For the speaking part, watch at least one video like this one of real speaking exams with feedback. There are also other online exams, but they are more informal, such as the Engxam Tests.
After you finish an exam, don't just check your score, but also take a close look at your mistakes and learn from them.
Preparation
Here are some things you should prepare and do before the exam:
-
Check your exam time and arrive earlier than necessary.
-
Pack everything you need the day before: your ID, pens (if you're writing the paper version), a water bottle.
-
Before the exam, get used to a sleep schedule of 8 hours of sleep, if possible.
-
Eat something balanced for breakfast, with enough carbohydrates and not just sugar.
-
Don't drink too much coffee or energy drinks; a caffeine overdose won't help you in the exam.
-
Don't try to learn new topics on exam day. If you want to challenge your brain before the exam, review your weak areas instead.
-
Additionally, dress comfortably. But also be careful not to make a poor visual impression on your examiner.
During the exam
During the exam, remember all the tips you learned during your exam preparation. Skim through the entire exam before you begin. Don't let difficult questions discourage you; instead, tackle the ones you're confident about first. Don't leave any questions unanswered at the end; guess if you need to.

Exam day
After the exam
Avoid discussing your answers with other candidates after the exam. Instead of creating unnecessary stress, treat yourself to a reward. For example, go get your favorite food or simply relax with some music on the drive home. After a few days or weeks (often faster if you took the digital version of the exam), you should receive your results.
